I've been very excited for this years Super Bowl. I'm a New England fan, but never had the deep-seeded hatred towards Peyton Manning. So, I'm not bitter or typically want him to lose because he is our AFC rival. This year is different though. Since the Saints are in the Super Bowl, this game is very important to me. New Orleans needs a Super Bowl victory. Yes, I know I am talking about professional sports, but New Orleans can't afford any more heartbreak. Its been close to 5 years since Hurricane Katrina, and to this day it seems as though that community and city are still ignored by the rest of the country. You can only take so many kicks while your down. On many levels a victory tomorrow would stimulate the city economically and emotionally. I think the city could use the recognition that comes along with winning a national championship. Saints fans are very passionate about their team. I can only imagine how happy this would make people who have done everything they can to stay or return to their community, which is such a culturally rich community, which still to this day needs a jumpstart. Unless Indianapolis is your hometown team, I think everyone should support the Saints tomorrow night.
